Traditional insurers are utilizing technology to improve customer experiences and business functions in greater numbers. Allstate reports that 60% of claims are handled through a mobile app.
The adoption of new technology and solutions is being driven by consumer demand for faster claims processes and better customer service. However, while automation of the industry will reduce the number of workers needed to handle claims, it will also allow those workers to focus on work that isn’t repetitive and requires critical thought; many say that the “human touch” will always be required in the claims process.
