NAIC May Add $12 Million to 2018-2020 Tech Budget


The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) are proposing to spend about $12 million over the next three years to improve the organization’s information systems and data security efforts. A part of this initiative includes a $500,000 budget dedicated to state insurance regulator education and engagement with industry players on emerging issues in the insurance marketplace, including InsurTech, RegTech, cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles, etc.
