Wesurance Launches Hong Kong’s First Insurance App Featuring AI and eKYC

Hong Kong-based Insurtech startup Wesurance Limited has announced its partnership with Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd. and Transunion. The partnership allows Allied World and Transunion to utilize Wesurance’s  insurance platform providing both purchase and claim services through artificial intelligence powered virtual assistant. This application is the first insurance application featuring artificial intelligence and electronic know your customer (eKYC) capabilities in Hong Kong.

Wesurance also incorporates eKYC and facial recognition technology for faster and easier user verification powered by TransUnion’s IDVision solution. Users can take a photo of their HKID card followed by a selfie to accurately verify a user’s identity.
